Today is my “golden birthday!” I’m 23 on the 23rd! And officially older them my brother… he caught up to me on valentines day by turning 22, but now i take my rightful place as oldest again! =)
Do I feel older you ask… Well yes. Yes I do. Or at least I did until this morning… waking up to balloons and birthday banners and marshmallow pancakes for breakfast from my roomies kinda make me feel like I just turned 5. But I SOOO loved it! And was so proud of them for actually cooking!

Yesterday at my birthday party that my wonderful boyfriend threw for me I realized something, I am blessed with THE most wonderful people in my life. They are my best friends, and my heros and I love that I get to live this life with them! I might be bias but I can’t image that anywhere else in this world has a more amazing group of people. And I am privileged to spend my days with them!

So on my birthday I dedicate this blog to all my wonderful friends and my amazing family! I’m so excited for what God has for all of us this next year and I LOVE EVERY ONE OF YOU MORE THAN I CAN SAY!!

I have come up with a list of 10 foods that I could eat for the rest of my life and be blissfully happy!
They are…

1) Eggs & hashbrowns (these count as 1 for me)
2) Beef (in a variety of different ways… hamburgers, steaks, etc.)
3) English muffins (with jelly naturally) Actually I better just say bread in general!
4) Mac and cheese
5) Red potatoes
6) Peas or Asparagus (I can’t decide… I love both equally)
7) Turkey sandwiches
*now I realize this is not a single food so let me explain what all this entails. Bread, turkey, swiss cheese, pickles, sprouts, mayonnaise, deli mustard, and cranberry sauce! Glory!!
8) Pizza (usually cheese, but BBQ hawaiian or supreme are options too)
9) Cheese tortellini with both marinara and alfredo sauce
10) Pork fried rice

If these are all the things I could eat forever… I would be a happy little clam!  Also this list excludes desserts and beverages! =)

Whats your top 10?

He’s got the whole world… in his hands!!!

You remember that song right… my mom used to sing it to me when I was a kid. As I was watching the Presidential Inauguration, I heard a man named Joseph Lowery say that phrase in what I thought was the best speech of the day. I wonder what our faith would be like as individuals and as the church if we simplified our thoughts and worries to… HE’S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS.

Is it just me or are we just really good at complicating the things that God intended to be really simple?? I make God’s blessing and provision so hard, when in reality He is eagerly waiting for my faith to release a blessing beyond what I could imagine.

This last weekend I was given a guitar. Besides the fact that is was an enormous blessing and answer to pray, it really opened my eyes to how easy it is for God to provide what we need.

I was so caught up in what kind of guitar i needed and how much it would cost and how long it was going to take to get it, that I kind of forgot that my God happens to be the very creator of the universe. He knows beginning to end, He knows me inside and out, He has the WHOLE WORLD in his hands. And more amazing still, He knows and cares about every detail in my life. A guitar might seem like a little thing to you, but God knows how big of thing it is to me!

With this in mind and the faith messages of last weeks catalyst conference, I am confident in my God who is the sovereign ruler of heaven and earth, but intimate enough to love and bless the smallest details of my life.

What is it that you need from God this year. Is it a miracle? Perfect… God is good at miracles!! I hope your faith is being stirred! There is nothing more exciting then FAITH!

Luke 11:9-10
”And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

I made this for my room…

the one thing

I love the color scheme and this is probably my favorite font right now. Its called “Jellyka – Estrya’s Handwriting”
I’m pretty into handwritten fonts in general but this one is really cool!

Also this has some of my life scriptures in it… psalm 27 and john 15!

My pastor, Krist Wilde has been speaking this last couple months on the revelation God gave him on ABIDING out of John chapter 15. Speaking of our lives bearing fruit only to the degree that we abide in Christ the vine! I have pretty much book marked it as one of the most impacting messages of my life! And Psalm 27 has always been one of my life chapters, declaring the “one thing I ask of the Lord, the thing I seek most. To live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life!”

Let my life focus on the “one thing,” that is to sit at the feet of Jesus!

Have a happy day!! =)
